These are the oftentimes tumbled thoughts of a bipolar mind going through rapid cycling. You have no idea what it is like to try to think while your thoughts are racing and your opinions are changing as they are being formed. But some of this is just life, depression, anger at being misunderstood and discriminated against, or maybe it's just the medicine or I've just really lost my grip!

AM I EMBARRASSED!!! ...& Some Thoughts on People

Yes, I'm embarrassed! and I want to thank Ivy for catching my faux pas.
I am a great visitor to Snopes to check out emails about "ungracious" stories. For some reason, I didn't check this one out. I guess my logic was that if you had a good recipe you would take credit for it yourself. It didn't occur to me that someone would use it as a vehicle to tarnish the name of a retailer. One of those times when I just wasn't thinking. Ivy was nice enough to bring this to my attention in the comments to my last blog. Upon reading about the hoax as I should have done before posting, Niemann Marcus has never charged for a recipe and has posted a chocolate chip recipe on the web in an effort to squelch this urban legend. Go to this recipe site:

And my sincere apologies. Please pass this one on in place of the other.

on familyOn another note, Happy Easter,, Happy Spring to everyone. What a glorious day in Southeast Texas. My brother got stuck working on this horrible project in CA and didn't c ome home this weekend. I spend Easter with friends of the family who live in the country. Very pleasant...good food...great company, conversation and camaraderie. I have known these people since 2001 when I returned to TX from Colorado and they are like family...no, they are family. They are my Texas family. It is an interesting dynamic, but when you move around the country and as you get older and lose your parents and, your children/siblings/relatives live far away, you can create adddi tional family. Thesse are people whom you count on, care for, worry about, laugh, work and play with. You celebrate holidays and happy events togther. You mourn and support each other through the sad ones. There is unconditional love and more than friendship. I choose to call them family. Ddo they replace my children, grandchildren or other relatives? No,,,,,never...that is a forever bond.. This is an addition. Sort of like you add a son-in-law, perhaps???? Maybe it's the answer to our mobile society???. Life can be a lonely journey without the love and support of family.

on politicsI am saddened at the political debacle...we are such separatists...most of us identify people by the way in which we are different. That method divides. We shou;d be seeking to unite this country if it is to be strong against the forces that would tear it down. And no party has an exclusive license on that either. They are ALL e qually liable. One has to wonder about the size of the ego vs the size of the IQ in the case of the New York politician caught with the call girl. Was he so egotistical that he thought he coulld get away with it? If so, what is his Iq? Dumb people shouldn't be running our government!?! And how smart is it to associate yourself with the teachings and the person himself of the Rev. Wright. Set aside the distasteful nature of a church which supports a country other than this one........set aside the fact that his sermon is black separatist....racist...set aside that the church states it is a "black church" mentioning WEB DuBois statement that one of the century's problems would be the color line....)...setting all that aside, what kind of logic and reasoning is in the mind of the person who waants to govern this nation that he could associate himself with black separatist agenda and a man spewing hate and have us believe he is a loving Christian. I believe God created both black and white (and various colors) ---When you start looking for ways in which we are alike....there is no color line. Isn't that a mysterious truth. He meant for all of us to work and play and live together in peace and harmony. Rev. Wright isn't preaching that kind of message. Hillary is just plain mean and hateful. I sus[ect she is also likely a whiner....big time. I'm waiting to see McCain's conduct; Remember this is about "people" not about policy..

on ranting...Well, enough ranting tonight Thanks for listening. Michele
